We've been on the air for over 50 years!

We haven't always been WXTC. Thiel Radio first existed as the Thiel College Radio Club and then as WTGP. Click the button below to read about the beginning of Thiel Radio by Thiel Alum and former station manager, Jim Cunningham.

Our History

Our Music, Our Voices

WXTC is the sound of our campus. From live music and game-day coverage to deep-dive audio documentaries, we give student voices a place on the radio.

Playing a wide variety of music and with our Thiel sports, our students provide a range of entertainment for you!

When our students are not on the air we simulcast WQED from Pittsburgh! In the evening, we switch our programming to blues and jazz of our own selection.
